International Promotion

III. International Promotion(Continuing from the previous section)

Since 2019, several international special columns of our journal have been reported by 12 domestic and foreign media outlets and social platforms, helping to further enhance our journal's international influence. Meanwhile, our journal has been included in 8 foreign databases, achieving a dual improvement in its international recognition and communication capacity. In addition, our journal has carried out a number of public welfare promotion activities, mainly covering domestic and international scientific and technological progress in the cereals and oils industry, important cereals and oils science and technology activities released by the competent authority–the National Food and Strategic Reserves Administration, major scientific and technological achievements or activities of the sponsoring unit–the Academy of Science and Technology for National Food and Strategic Reserves Administration, as well as significant scientific research achievements of the journal's editorial board members. (2) On November 18, 2021, the official website of the Chinese Embassy in Austria published the report austrian scientist Rudolf Krska contributes to a special column of our journal on grain and food safety.

(7) On October 18, 2022, the official website of the Chinese Embassy in Austria reported again on Counselor Fengyun Lei's visit to Professor Rudolf Krska in Austria, noting that Science and Technology of Cereals, Oils and Foods had become a link for their talks and exchanges and a bridge for further cooperation (for details, please see the journal's official website: http://lyspkj.ijournal.cn/lyspkj/news/view/20220217144126001). During the visit, the two sides expressed their gratitude via video to Dr. Hongzhuo Tan, Vice Editor-in-Chief of the journal and the planner and inviter of the special column.

(8) In February 2023, International Talent Exchange, a magazine supervised by the Ministry of Science and Technology and sponsored by the China Research Institute for Science and Technology for Foreign Talents, published the article Rudolf Krska: Food Security Requires the Joint Efforts of Scientists Worldwide written by Fengyun Lei, in both Chinese and English in the "Cover Story" section of its February 2023 issue, reporting on the comprehensive cooperation with the journal.

2. Promotion of the Special Column in Issue 3, 2022

(9) On May 6, 2022, the library of Imperial College London included the article On COVID-19 and Membrane Lipids and Public Health by Professor Yiqun Wang from the journal's 2022 Issue 3 special column.

(11) In November 2023, the official account of "Oil and Fat Garden of Jiangnan University" reported on the exchange visit of J. Thomas Brenna, an international author of the journal's 2022 Issue 3 and Emeritus Professor of the University of Texas at Austin/Cornell University, to Jiangnan University. The journal's 2022 Issue 3 was presented as J. Thomas Brenna's representative academic achievement in the PPT.

4. Participation in the 2024 Australian Food Microbiology Conference (March 13-14, 2024)

During his academic visit to the University of Melbourne from March 13 to 14, 2024, Dr. Hongzhuo Tan, Vice Editor-in-Chief and Editorial Office Director of the journal, attended the 2024 Australian Food Microbiology Conference. With the support and assistance of Fiona Fleming, Chief Executive Officer of the Australian Institute of Food Science and Technology (AIFST), the conference organizer, the journal was allocated an independent exhibition area and promoted alongside Food Australia, the official journal of AIFST, helping to enhance the journal's international influence.

1. Multiple international conference special columns (including Chinese-Japanese and Chinese-English bilingual articles) published by the journal were invited to be included in the National Engineering and Technology Library (2019-2021).
2. In January 2023, the journal was included in the Elsevier-Scopus database (Netherlands) for the period 2023-2026.

11. October 21-24, 2024: As the only supporting journal media, the journal promoted the 2nd APEC Seminar on Digitalization and Innovative Technologies in the Grain Industry Chain and Experience Exchange, sponsored by the Academy of Science and Technology for National Food and Strategic Reserves Administration. More than 200 domestic and foreign experts and scholars from 13 APEC economies including Australia, China and Indonesia, the United Nations World Food Programme, as well as 12 non-APEC economies including the Republic of the Congo, the Central African Republic and Benin attended the conference. Dr. Hongzhuo Tan, Vice Editor-in-Chief and Editorial Office Director of the journal, introduced the journal's development to all leaders, experts and participants of the two training programs, facilitating multi-party support and cooperation intentions.
