Abstract:The “Belt and Road” countries are important grain producing areas in the world, and the amount of grain imported by China from countries along the “Belt and Road” has increased year by year. With the changes in the international trade situation, opening up international channels for grain logistics in China’s western region is of great significance for the diversified development of grain import channels. This paper analyzes the current situation of grain trade between China and the countries along the Belt and Road, as well as the land logistics channel for grain import. It puts forward three demonstration nodes including the “outer grain base, inner corridor” mode, the industrial park leading the international grain logistics channel mode, and overseas warehouse building mode. It also gives suggestions for demonstration nodes development, including establishing an interest linkage mechanism to build a sustainable high-quality grain source supply system, developing bonded processing to construct the “Belt and Road” characteristic industrial chain, constructing grain logistics parks to play the role of important carriers of international channel. This paper provides a reference for the construction of international grain logistics nodes in the new era and has practical significance for ensuring China’s grain security.
