Statements on publishing ethics of the Journal of Science and Technology of Cereals, Oils and Foods
According to “The regulations of publishing management of Science and Technology of Cereals, Oils and Foods” issued by Academy of National Food and Strategic Reserves Administration, China, 2019, the "publishing ethics" from sixth chapter is hereby declared as follows:
No.23All responsible bodies should abide by publishing ethics with honesty, responsibility, specialty and fairness during the process of academic publishing.
No.24The authors should submit their original scientific research manuscripts with no multiple submission, obey the policy of data sharing policy of the journal, disclose the contribution from other authors, funding support and conflict of interest, etc. And keep all correspondence secrecies with the Journal’s editorial office.
No.25 The reviewers should make a comprehensive evaluation of the manuscript and keep secret after their review with professionalism, impartiality, morality and selflessness. The reviewers should comment based on science facts, keep objective and fair, abandon professional bias, have the responsibility to affirm the advantages of the manuscript and provide constructive suggestions to solve the weaknesses in the research. If the manuscript exceeds the professional competence, the reviewer has the responsibility to refuse the review. When there is a potential conflict of interest, reviewers should avoid or disclose it.
No. 26 The editorial office should maintain academic ethics, insist journal’s honest, construct a good credibility atmosphere about scientific research, keep fair reviewing mechanism, evaluate manuscripts objectively, refuse low-quality manuscripts based on human relationships or interest-related, protect the secrets of authors and reviewers, check the articles similarity strictly, and encourage authors providematerials to support their academic honesty.
The regulations and statements had issued on November 1, 2019, by taking advices from each departments in the sponsor and the journal’s editorial board, and by considering from the academy’s council. The editorial office is responsible for the interpretation of these regulations and statements.
